I will never share your information with another party or sell your information to another party.
I will only collect information you choose to share directly, never from another party. The information I’m interested in collecting is your name, email address, what games of mine you play, what games of mine you have paid for, and what platforms you may be interested in beta or pre-release testing my games on.
I would like to know your email so I can provide continued access to my work across platforms and payment providers, and give you access to manage your data directly.
I would like to know your name so I can personalize messaging if necessary.
I would like to know what games of mine you play or are interested in so I can provide you with updates related to those games, and recommendations of work I’ve enjoyed based on the games of mine you’re interested in.
I would like to know what games of mine you’ve paid for so you can continue receiving any and all benefits for that payment in the future.
I would like to know what platforms you would be interested in beta or pre-release testing my games on so I can provide easy access to testing.
You can provide me your email address, name (optional), and games you play or are interested in (optional) by creating an account through this website.
You can provide me your email address, and name (optional) through any installation of my work. By providing this information through an installation of my work I will collect what work you provided the information from, and any past or active payments for that work, so I can continue giving you access to that work at the same level of access in the future.
If you are actively supporting my work through a subscription, by providing this information, you may receive paid benefits to work you haven’t paid for directly.
I may collect anonymous information about how people are playing my games, and you can opt-out of sending that information from each installation of my games at any time. I may aggregate that information based on an identifier randomly generated on your device one time to calculate statistics like what percentage of installs play single player more than multiplayer. This information will never be collected with personally identifiable information or be stored in a way that could identify the source of the information.
I may collect non-anonymous information to provide game features, and these features will always be opt-in. All the guarantees in this policy apply to that information. Currently there are no features like this planned, but if they are and I feel a need to make additional guarantees related to that information I may do so.
I will never show you advertisements. I don’t want them in my work and believe in most cases they are not respectful of your time, resources, or attention. I may choose to recommend other work I personally enjoy and have not been paid or otherwise compensated to recommend through my games or newsletter in a way that respects your attention and right to ignore it (no pop-ups, no spam.)
I will never send you more than one newsletter or marketing email per month. You may decline to receive updates when giving me your information for the first time, and I will keep track of your response at that time. You may update that preference at any time through this link, clicking the unsubscribe link contained in any of the emails I send you, or by emailing email@example.com. I will always work to make opt-out from email updates easy, clear, and immediate.
I will never send you more than one non-gameplay related notification per month. To receive these notifications you must opt-in from each game you would like to receive these notifications from, separately from any gameplay related notifications you’ve opted into receiving. I would like the content of these notifications to be open-ended and in the spirit of the all guarantees of this policy. Here are examples of notifications I might send if you opt-in to receiving them:
an announcement of a new game from me
a new feature released in one of my games you’ve told me you are interested in or have paid for
a recommendation for a game that I personally enjoy and have not been paid or otherwise compensated to recommend
I may send you email related to any beta or pre-release testing you’ve been enrolled in, and in some cases those emails may be more frequent than once a month. To not receive these emails you can opt-out of beta or pre-release testing at any time through this link or replying to your testing enrollment email. When you opt-out of beta or pre-release testing I will also clear the platforms you are interested in testing for from your account. You can opt-in to being considered for beta or pre-release testing at any point after this, and if you are enrolled you may still receive email related to that beta or pre-release testing enrollment.
I may make changes to this policy while maintaining these guarantees. If you’ve given me your information I will let you know a week or more before those updates take effect. For instance, I may be interested in collecting additional information, and I will want you to know what that information that is, how you can provide it, and how it will be used. I may also be interested in doing something new with the information you have already given me, and would want to make clear what I am interested in doing with that information.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns related to this policy I encourage you to share them by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!
